Samsung get knock in Europe

(RTTNews) - A Dutch court in The Hague issued a preliminary injunction against the Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd's (SSNLF.PK, SSNNF.PK, SMSN.L) Galaxy S, Galaxy S II, and Ace Smartphones, according to the media reports.

Apple has won victory in its ongoing battle with Samsung. The preliminary injunction does not apply to Samsung's tablet computer. The ban is due to come into effect in seven weeks, the reports said.

Samsung has been banned from selling the three models of its Galaxy smartphones in the Netherlands and other European countries.

The court reportedly said that the devices violated a software patent Apple holds in the European Union. However, the court rejected all Apple's other claims against Samsung, including violating registered designs, copyrights and style imitation.
